Chapter 6-7

 Chapter 8

“She has to get to a hospital for surgery; I can’t do much for her.” Brian said. “I can give her some pain killers but that’s it, it’s a really bad gunshot wound.” “Alright thanks.” I said to him. “What happened to you sis; I heard you were missing.” “You can’t tell anyone about this confrontation; there are things I have to handle.” “Like what?” “Things you wouldn’t understand.” “You mean revenge?” He stopped me silent. “Betty I know about what happened to your husband and daughter…” “There’s a reason why I have to do this.” “Yeah and I’m sure there’s a reson why you all look like a 70’s disco band.” Vikki was lying on the couch, her white leather stained by her blood. “C’mon Brian this is serious.” I said with a solid face. “Okay…okay, but don’t do anything stupid Betty.” he said hugging me. I embraced the hug. “I would hate to see my little sister behind bars or in some crazy house.”
“Where’s the next hospital?” I asked. “its a couple miles away.” “Have you been in it?” “Yeah, plenty of times.” “Ok think of the place.” Brian laughed. “What?” he said. “Just do it Brian; we’re running out of time.” “Okay I’m thinking about it.”
“Alright I got it.” I said looking at Vikki. I then grabbed her hand. “Let’s go!” I shouted and The Clan grabbed onto me. “What in the world are yall doing?” I heard Brian say before the cold feeling returned and in a flash, we were no longer in my big brother’s house, but in the lobby of a hospital. I looked around at the stunned patients and staff. I then ran to the counter to the gaping desk lady. “Please, we need help; my friend’s been shot.” I said.
Within minutes Vikki was rushed to the emergency room for surgery. The Clan then sat outside the room waiting. “I think we were set up.” Scab said. “Don’t say that.” I said. “It’s the truth; if it wasn’t, Torch and Ivory would be here with us; but no those bastards hauled ass like they knew it was going to happen.”
Scab was right in every way and I really wanted to dig deeper into this, to get to the bottom of this, to find out why we were betrayed. “Well we’ll just have to find them then to find out.” I said. “I agree.” Cyro said. “…and if he did stab us in the back, I’m gonna kick his ass; I don’t care who he is!” he shouted. “Will you keep your voice down?” I said lowly. Time was ticking and running out. By now Ivory and Torch probably have gotten somewhere far and it would be much harder to track them down.
A nurse walked up to us with her clipboard in hand. It has been about three hours since we first got here and I’ve just been praying that Vikki made a full recovery. “What’s her condition?” I asked, standing up. The nurse smiled and with that I knew things were going to get better. “She’s fine.” the nurse said. “As a matter of fact, you can see her now.”
“You guys stay here.” I said, looking back at The Clan. They each nodded. I followed the nurse down the hall and into Vikki’s room. “She’s a little disoriented but it’ll pass.” the Nurse said before she walked. There was Vikki, staring off into space, her colorless eyes wide open. “Hey girl.” I said. “How are you feeling?” “Never felt better.” she smiled. I smiled too. “We gotta find Torch and Ivory.” “Way to break the mood.” Vikki said. I laughed. “C’mon Vikki, I’m serious.” “So am I; I was feeling good until you said that.”
“Okay after today, we’ll discuss this more.” “No; give me a few hours and I’ll be ready to poof on out of here.” “Are you sure about that?” “Look at me Virtua; do I look like I’m going to drop dead?” “No.” I sighed. “Okay; ill be fine.” “Okay.” I said putting my hand on hers. “I’m going to tell The Clan you’re fine.”

Chapter 9

“Guard this door with your life.” Torch said as Ivory nodded. “If they escape what’s coming to them, then they will be coming for us.” “What is exactly coming for them?” Ivory asked as she stood in the doorway of a large but classified facility. “Well the police of course; if we want everything to fall into plan then we’ll need some help from them.” Torch replied.
A voice jumped into my mind and I listened hard to hear the message. “Virtua the police are here, we have a serious problem.” I realized the voice came from Clover, and it sounded stressed. Vikki looked up in concern. “What’s wrong?” she asked. I closed my eyes as I let my senses read out the proximity. I saw S.W.A.T. officers carrying tranquilizers, and I saw The Clan being carried out by the officers, knocked out by the powerful sedatives. I looked at Vikki and I could tell that she just read my mind. “Oh no.” she said to herself. I quickly went to lock the door but it was kicked hard open by an officer. The kick sent me to the floor and as I looked up, I was facing the barrel of a tranquilizer gun. “Surrender or you will be put down like your little group.” The officer said. I put my arms up and slowly went to my feet. The snout of the gun pressed against my chest as I looked at the officer. They must’ve known all about power if they taken this much deadly force to take us down, but this officer didn’t seem afraid. “You’re not going to shoot my friend, are you?” I asked, still keeping my arms in the air. “She’s already defenseless as it is.” “Move and I will pop both you and her in the head.” the officer said. He then glanced at Vikki and her taped abdomen and Vikki stared back at him. “What the hell happened to her?” he asked. “I was shot.” Vikki said with a solid stare. “Well your ass better not move either; I read your file and if you poof out, ill pop a bullet in her skull.”
His eye was on Vikki and now was my shot. Swiftly I grabbed the muzzle of the tranquilizer gun and bent it back. The officer attention shot back immediately but I sent a hard punch to his head which was covered by a tactical helmet. The telekinetic force of my punch cracked his helmet and stunned him for a moment as I sent a kick that knocked his gun out his grasp, but a sudden elbow to my face completely knocked my concentration. I felt my lip bust with that hit before he picked me up and threw me into the room door. The door snapped off its hinges on my impact and I fell to the floor roughly. “Virtua!” I heard Vikki scream as I got to my feet, spitting the blood from my mouth. The officer stood across from me pointing a normal handgun at me. “You jackass, we’re in a hospital.” I said angrily. “Get on the floor!” he yelled and I could hear the seriousness in his voice. “You gonna fire that in here?” I asked him. “No.” he said lowering his gun. Before I can sense what was on his mind, I felt something shoot into my neck. I felt that area and there was a tranquilizer dart stuck in there. I turned around to see the rest of the S.W.A.T. team with their guns drawn. “Shit.” I said before my eyes went heavy and I felt to the floor. My eyes shut and I was in darkness, but not by my own anxiety.
“When they get here; you send them out.” Torch said to a tall, dark man reading a couple of papers. “Are you sure this is a complete description of them?” the man asked. “Will, I trained the bastards myself, of course it’s a complete description.” “Okay, I’m just making sure.” “Yeah well just send them out and take them alive; you hear that; I want them alive.” “I got it, I got it, It’s just that’s going to be one hell of a task.”
Torch closed his eyes for a moment. “There’s not much to worry about, they’ve been apprehended by the police.” he said with a confident smile.
My eyelids lifted themselves and welcomed the sight of jail cell bars, a junky bed and an officer standing outside of the bars. The same officer that first confronted me at the hospital was now staring directly at me. I sat up looking around but none of The Clan was in sight. I got up and went to the bars, with a glare at the officer. “Where are my friends?” I asked. “You’re the last to be interviewed; c’mon.” he said opening the cell door. “I’m not going anywhere.” I said. “You better cooperate or we’ll drag you out of here.” “I would like to see you try.” I threatened. “With another dart in your neck, we will; you really have no choice.”
I sighed. “Cuff me.” I said. “Alright we got progress.” he said.
He walked me to an interrogation room, a familiar sight. This wasn’t my first time being in an interrogation room, of course in the past I’ve documented the lives of criminal’s mindless interviews, and observed the ways of the NYPD. I sat down and the officer sat across from me. He looked at me with a sort of “you’re a lunatic and I’m smarter than you” kind of look. “Mrs. Fischel you seem to have a large knowledge about the word tragedy.” he said “If this is going where I think it’s going then no; I don’t know who killed my family.” “But you’re trying though right?” he asked as my glare intensified. He sighed. “I don’t think I’ve introduced myself to you because of such wild conditions, my name is Officer Harley Shandon.” “Well Officer Shandon, I really don’t give a damn, unless of course you can tell me who blew up my husband and daughter.”
He then laughed. “You don’t wait for anything do you?” “You think this is funny, I’m pretty sure you would do the same thing.” “Don’t you think your being a little too drastic?” “Nothing’s too drastic when avenging someone; nothing.”
“Well…” he said picking up papers. “Like I said before, I took a look at your file. Betty Fischel went missing about a month ago; you know some people thought you were dead.” “Well I’m alive and well.” I said. “Are you familiar with this people; Danny Gilvet, Victoria Jacobs, Sydney Cortez, Malcolm Davidson…” “Wait, wait; who are these people?” “These are your associates or should I say your friends.” He paused for a moment and I said nothing. “Oh I see, you know them by different names.” “I guess you can say some of them have grown to be sort of a family to me.” I chuckled. “Mrs. Fischel you didn’t answer my question.” I gave him an aggravated glare. “What makes you think I can’t break out of here in about…I don’t know, the next ten seconds?” I said. “If you even try anything I’ll…” “You’ll what?” I said cutting him off. “Get another spineless unit to sedate me from behind again.” He went silent. “They won’t make it in time.”
There were yells from officers outside of the room, followed by the sounds of gunfire. “What the hell are you doing!?” Shandon shouted. “It’s not me!” I snapped back at him. Officer Shandon peeked outside the door as the screams of the other officers were subdued. “He pulled his head back in and shook his head. “It’s clear.” Suddenly I saw a fist plow right through the steel door, hitting Shandon in the abdomen. The punch sent Shandon flying across the room into the hard wall. I watch as this enormous fist yanked itself out of the door and the possessor of this colossal attribute walked inside. The nearly eight foot gigantic being was actually a woman. The muscular tall woman in all leather scanned the room with fierce intensity in her eyes. “Where the fuck is Virtua!?” she asked vulgarly. “Who wants to know?”
I said sending a spin kick to her but her enormous hand gripped my shin. With a swipe of her grasp, she sent me flipping in air before I fell roughly on my back. I looked up at the red head woman as she peered down at me. “You were sent by Torch.” I said. “How would you know?” she said picking me up by my throat. My head felt numb and I couldn’t breathe, her enormous hands throttling the oxygen right out of me. I began to focus as much as my mind allowed me to and so chi began to fill my free hand. I swung forward and the telekinetic blow sent the giant woman back, releasing me from her deadly grip. I began coughing hard while on all fours, my eyes blurred by the effects of asphyxiation. But I could see the giant woman in a blur, coming straight at me. It looked like she wanted to kick me. Before I could react and dodge, I felt an intense collision against my jaw thanks to a maybe… I don’t know… a size twenty eight boot. I began fighting the definitive urge of going completely unconscious, and with all my effort, I got back to my feet. I tasted the blood in my mouth and the bottom of it felt very heavy and began numbing up quickly. I knew this bitch had broken my jaw, and now I was pissed. I looked at the tall woman with a vexed glare, who seemed like she wanted nothing but to rip me apart. I took these precious seconds to think, there is no way I can fight this ogre this way. I looked to the side and noticed Shandon was trying to get to his feet. I ran over to him and assisted him quickly to his feet. “Who the fuck is that!?” he yelled. “Let’s go!” I yelled concentrating on the wall. The wall exploded before us and we proceeded through the walls.

Interesting. Did you know that all right should be two words instead of alright? And did you know when you get done with your book you can publish for free on smashwords? I wrote about it here http://hubpages.com/hub/I-Just-Sold-My-First-Book.
