The Clan By SxEC Chapter 12-13

Ch 12
I stepped closer to where I heard the screams of Clover, but as of now they had stopped. Suddenly the lights came back on and I was able to see Cyro, Vikki and Scab behind me. "Well, where is she?" I asked. "I don’t know I can’t sense her energy anymore." Vikki replied. I suddenly felt something warm and thick slide down my face and I quickly raised my hand to wipe it off. I shrieked in disgust and fear as my hand was covered in blood. I looked up and saw a large, creepy beast, gnawing on the lifeless bloody body of young Clover. Without even trying to identify what it was, I quickly sent a telekinetic wave in its direction. The beast popped from it’s upside down position and fell to floor, right in front of us. It was now motionless. I heard a lighter thump to the floor, as Clover’s body fell in front of me. I went down and held her body gently, tearing up at the grotesque story death told on this young soul. Her abdomen showed that the creature took a huge chomp at her in mere minutes. "Keep away from it." Vikki said. "Betty, we have to move." Scab added. "I know that damn it!" I shouted in frustration. I then let go of the body and slowly stood up, but before I could say another word, the creature moved. "O shit!" Cyro said, as the creature began coming to life. I watched in terror as the creature rose to its four legs, its greenish fur stained with blood. It lion-like mouth gaped open as it let out a thunderous roar, and at that moment, it sent out a wave of energy unlike any I’ve felt before. The telekinetic force sent us to the floor hard, sliding some feet, back down the hall. "Get up yall." I said trying to get to my feet. "Is everyone ok?"
"I would be ok if we got the fuck outta here!" Cyro’s insensitive comments continued. "I actually agree with him on this one." Vikki said. As I looked ahead, I noticed the beast kicked some dust back, like a raging beast, and began charging at us. "GO!" I yelled. We scurried down a hall to our left but before as we tried to reach farther down the next hall, the floor under us disappeared, and we began falling into darkness.

"Awake!" yelled a voice in my head, and I quickly shot up from the ground. After I gained my composure I glanced and scanned my proximity. Vikki, Scab and Cyro lay on the ground. I’m assuming they didn’t get that mental message. "Guys get up, we got to keep moving." I said. Vikki got to her feet first followed by the others. "I don’t know how much more of this shit I can take." Cyro said. "We’re going to take our lives with us." I said I scanned the dome, dungeon-like area we were in. "Looks like some kind of arena." Scab said. "What is all of this about?" I said then I glanced at Vikki. "Listen, this has to come down to the truth, I want an answer before someone else gets killed."
Her colorless eyes went to mine as if for a moment she was able to stare into them. "We’re products."
"Products?" I asked. "He was going to find a way to manipulate our minds and sell us as weapons to other countries." she replied. "That’s the stupidest thing I ever heard. "It’s the truth." Scab added.
"We were going to be sold for millions to worldwide military units, as weapons. We were never meant to be an individual army, just apart of other armies, and there’s no doubt that the world would have been torn apart."
"So it’s all been about the money." I chuckled. "That’s what those machines were for, to brainwash us, turn us into mindless drones."
Vikki continued. "As of now The Clan is bigger than you think. This building is the real headquarters for the group, that cathedral was just a set-up."
"How many?" I asked. "I don’t know."
Suddenly spotlights flashed upon us. "What the hell is going on?" I asked. The lights were extremely bright and blinded my eyesight before my retinas could adjust to the illumination. "Hello students, welcome to my arena. Today you’ve just learned the complete ideal of power." said the message in our heads. "Though I’m surprised you made it this far, the amount of fear I will sense from you all in this scenario will not shock me at all."
"Show your fuckin self!" I yelled, fury raising the hairs on my neck. "I will when you’re ready." I couldn’t take it anymore, not only did this bastard kill my family, convince me to join some fake ass circus freak show, but stabbed everybody in the back as soon as I showed up, I had it and now I just let my rage become my personality. Without hesitation I grabbed Vikki and held her tightly by the neck and placed the flat of my palm at her temple. "Try anything, such as teleporting, and I will turn your fuckin brains into mash potatoes." I said. "Think before you do anything stupid Betty." Vikki said. "Shut up! Be still." I said pressing down on her neck. "You should listen to her Virtua, what would killing her prove?" Torch said through our heads. "It’ll prove just how serious I am."
"How weak you are?" Torch interrupted. "How ignorant you are?" "Once again you pull another pathetic move to see if you can get yourself out of this predicament."
My hand that was placed firmly against Vikki’s temple began glowing and I was sure that she was feeling the heat it was emitting. "Stop it Virtua." Vikki said. "Shut the fuck up." I demanded lowly. "Killing me would do what?" I pressed my hand aggressively harder, belligerently jerking her neck to the side. "I said shut the fuck up!" "Enough!" Torch suddenly appeared to my side and sent a jolting kick to my side, releasing Vikki from my grip and sending me to the floor. "Anger will get you no where dear." Torch said staring me down, his dark red eyes glowing. I shot to my feet and ran at Torch, close enough I sent a kick but he blocked, punching me, his fist powered with pyrokenesis, collided with the side of my jaw and I went down instantly. I felt the sting of burned skin on my cheek as I slowly tried to get to my feet. "Do you honestly think that you can go toe to toe with me? Be realistic." Torch said taking off his red leather trench coat. "I’m not trying to fight you; I’m trying to kill you." I said. "I seriously doubt it." Torch said than he looked over to Vikki. "It’s time to go Vik."
Ivory walked toward Torch, and began holding onto him. "You’re going to teleport out of here." I said. "Torch looked at me and smiled. "Very good Virtua."
"Then what happens to us?" I asked. "I’ll leave the surprise to reveal itself." he said. "Vikki let’s go." he demanded. I watched as Vikki stared in the air with tears in her eyes. "I refuse." her voice breaking. "You refuse?" Ivory said, shock in her face. "No longer will I murder for you." she said. Torch chuckled. "Then you die." Torch jolted out his arm and a cluster of inferno shot out and slammed Vikki in the chest. The flames increased as they covered her body and accompanying the crackles of the fire was Vikki’s screams of agony. Ivory and Torch vanished into ashes. I ran to Vikki’s burning body and sent a strong wave of telekinetic energy that extinguished the hoard of flames. Vikki dropped to the floor, shaking violently, trying to caress her own body. Tears trickled down my face as I kneeled down trying to comfort her burnt body. "I’m sorry." I said. "No." Vikki said. "I’m sorry."
"I have something to tell you something Betty." "Wait, Scab!" I called. There was silence. "He’s gone too." Vikki said. "I didn’t even see…" "He’s a coward." "Betty, before I die you must know…" "I won’t let you die, not here, not now." "Listen to me Betty!" I began breaking down. Slowly she spoke in a whispered tone. "Your daughter is alive." as "alive" slipped out her mouth, Vikki took her last breath and her body became motionless. I began shaking her body rapidly. "Vikki!" I yelled. But she was gone, and as more tears fell from my eyes the more this moment became much more confusing and harder to accept. I couldn’t even absorb the last thing she said into my head. I listened, but it still seemed unclear. None of it made any sense, and now I was the only one left. Clover was killed by that mutant experiment, and Vikki was executed right here in front of my own eyes, with Scab, Ivory and Torch escaping. I looked around into Torch’s arena and saw nothing but hopelessness. Suddenly I heard really loud foot steps coming my way. I looked behind me to see Hera once more. "You got to be fucking kidding me." I said. Behind came two tall female figures in purple body suits. My anger suddenly took over and I suddenly took action. With unmatched speed and agility, I took off into the air, corkscrewing and all; I fired telekinetic blasts at the freak trio. As they took time to block I landed behind them and ran up to one of the tall purple divas. I spin kick her and followed up with a telekinetic push that not only push her violently into the ground, but it jolted Hera and Dweedle Dum 2 quite a distance as well. One of the purple ones was now incapacitated and it seemed I had the upper hand. Purple female 2 noticed her downed twin and came charging at me in a stronger aggression than before. She hopped in the air and rapidly shot out telekinetic blasts at me. I began running as fast as possible down through Torch’s arena, evading all of the blasts. I kept running even though I couldn’t hear anymore blasts but suddenly I felt her hop onto my shoulders. Her weight sent me crashing onto the rocky ground and as I shook off the pain to try to get to my feet, she got onto me and began delivering telekinetic powered punches to my face, repeatedly and fast, busting a cut near my eye and busting my lip open. I grabbed her hair, nearest to her scalp and pulled her head to mine as I head butted her a few times. As she jerked back in pain from the 4th head butt I pushed her off me and got to my feet. Before she could get to her feet I punted her in her temple. Her head jerked to the side violently and she went motionless. Breathing hard I looked behind me and saw Hera charging at me, her monstrous body shaking the earth beneath me. Before I could dodge her she sped up out of nowhere and grabbed me by my hair. Her enormous hand wrapped my hair and she pulled me off my feet and began dragging me on the rough ground. With a strength that was unparalleled, she threw me across the empty arena. The quick second my eyes remained open, I realized I was probably 20 ft in the air before I fell relentlessly onto the ground. I then felt a telekinetic force lift me to hover in mid air and before I could fight it, Hera sent a strong kick to my back, flooring me once more. I coughed up blood as I knew I was suffering some internal injuries. Coughing, I opened my eyes to see Hera standing tall over me. I tried to move but she quickly pressed her enormous boot upon my neck, asphyxiating me. With a smirk, she held her arm up and pointed at me and smoke began drifting from her hand. I realized that this couldn’t be the end, there was more to this than I thought but how could I go on without the rest of my team, and how could I take down this ogre standing over me, who obviously was ten times stronger than I. Not to mention the fact that my daughter was in fact still alive. The sadness and anger built into me and began to cluster into a ball of energy and my hand began glowing. My anger created the heat that my hand began producing and I realized that I had cracked the code of pyrokenesis. I went deeper into focus, and a light emerged from the center of my palm. This was a power that I never experienced before and motivated by this effort I reached with my other hand and pushed Hera’s foot off my neck so I could breathe. I then pulled myself to my feet and pointed my hand in Hera’s direction. Hera continued to point at me even though I was up. I felt the jolt and my hand released an extremely powerful energy. I saw Hera release a beam of energy herself. Our beams of light collided, shaking the arena’s foundation. I pushed for my beam to knock out Hera, but I could feel her energy nearing to me quickly. I focused harder and eyed the center at where our beams met, and I could see a separate energy forming at that center, rapidly expanding. I then purposely broke focus and watched Hera continue to fire at the energy that happened to manifest itself from the combination of our force. "It’s going to explode." I said to myself and I began running to find my way out of the arena. I heard a sonic-like boom and I quickly went to the ground, guarding myself in a telekinetic cocoon. The world shook around me and through that energy I could see that the blast was causing the entire arena to collapse. A combination of fear, shock, and anger bubbled inside of me and I blacked out… again.
